The Delaware Contemporary Dance Theatre

The birth of this company in 2009, was the realization of Executive/Artistic Director Chauntee D. Andrews. This is a company of performers that are comprised of energetic, passionate, and loyal dancers. The call to dance in a space that is a safe haven for learning, both emotional and mentally, was responded to in unbelievable numbers during the audition process. Members of the distinguished panel, (Sean McLeod-Executive, New York Institute of Dance and Education; La Deva Davis- Dance department chair for The Philadelphia High School For Creative And Performing Arts; Wanda Harris Cooper- former principal dancer with PHILADANCO; Chistopher Huggins- International choreographer work credits include Philadanco and The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), were apart of the great minds that helped to shape this amazing group of performers. The company’s repertoire ranges from thought provoking and intriguing, to a light hearted feel and sheer enjoyability.
